Euro-toques

Artisan cooking with an emphasis on healthy food, without artificial additives. No industrial convenience products, but working together with local and honest producers. With many passionate chefs in Europe, L´invité has committed itself to the Euro-toques code of honor.

Euro-toques was founded in 1986 by Paul Bocuse, one of the greatest chefs of the 20th century and initiator of la cuisine du marché.

At L’invité we only serve sustainably caught fish, taking the season and foodmiles into account as much as possible.

Our Chef is personally ambassador for “Chefs for Good Fish”, the restaurant program of the Good Fish Foundation.

Local wines

Local wine production in the Netherlands is very limited. Climate changes and increased knowledge offer ever better opportunities for Dutch winegrowers. New more resistant grape varieties are better suited to our climate and intelligent soil management creates new possibility for modern sustainable viticulture.

Our sommelier is internationally certified and specializes in local wines from Dutch soil. He maintains good contacts with the best Dutch winemakers and he can introduce you to their beautiful local wines.

Historic building

Bloemgracht 47 was built in 1628. The Jordaan area was also built during this period; a new area for the workingclass, immigrants and artisans. Bloemgracht 47 is one of the few remaining buildings from that time and the oldest building on this canal.

In its nearly 400-year history, the building was home to a wool dyer, sugar factory, a small wood factory for barrels and a screw factory.

From 2012 restaurant L´invité is located in this historic building.
